Congratulations to Fitzroy Wickham, SPISE 2015 graduate and CADSTI-NE 2019 intern from Jamaica, on this prestigious scholarship! Fitzroy was inspired through our programs to reach for his dreams – – – to see the world and meet and learn from people of all backgrounds, and to do research on neurodegenerative diseases, like the Alzheimer’s work he did during his CADSTI-New England summer internship at Voyager Therapeutics. He hopes to return to the Caribbean one day to encourage young people to pursue their scientific passions and ultimately, to increase the number of under-represented minorities in research and drug development.
