Overview of CSF Projects
The work of the CSF is supported in part by the Caribbean Diaspora for Science, Technology and Innovation (CADSTI) which founded the CSF in 2010 as its implementation arm of its mission in the Region. Thus, the projects of the CSF are focused on carrying out the mission of assisting with the development and diversification of the economies of the Caribbean Region by promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education reform, and stimulating technology-based entrepreneurship.
As a consequence, the projects fall into two categories: (a) education and (b) technology entrepreneurship stimulation. The aims are consistent with the CSF motto: “grooming the next generation of Caribbean science and engineering leaders”.
The 6 current projects of the CSF are:
- Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering (SPISE)
- Barbados Junior Robotics Camps (BJRC)
- Caribbean Computer Coding Workshops (C3W)
- Caribbean STEM Olympiads (CSO)
- Caribbean SEED (STEM Engine for Economic Development) Summit (CSS)
- Barbados Robotics Innovation Challenge (BRIC)
These projects are summarized for your convenience in the printable CSF Projects Brochure
Past educational and technology entrepreneurship stimulation projects include:
