CSF is a project of the Caribbean Diaspora for Science, Technology, & Innovation (CADSTI). Donations directly support CSF.Below are the projects and activities of the CSF that are in need of support.

SPISE

The annual Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering (SPISE) is an intensive four-week enrichment residential summer program for promising Caribbean high-school students who are interested in studying and exploring careers in science and engineering. The goal is to help address the low numbers of Caribbean students pursuing advanced degrees in science and engineering. The sponsorship cost per student is US$6,000 plus round trip travel to Barbados. Learn more

Student Internship Program

Summer internships provide 6th form and university students with research experience within a company or academic laboratory in the U.S. or the Region. Students learn laboratory techniques, conduct experiments, publish papers from their work, and network with the scientific community. Learn more.

Caribbean Visionaries Challenge

The CSF is seeking sponsors to join Sagicor in support of the CSF Caribbean Visionaries Challenge. More details about the existing Sagicor Visionaries Challenge can be found at sagicorvisionaries.com

Barbados Junior Robotics Camp

The CSF’s Junior Robotics Camp is an annual summer enrichment program for young Barbadian students interested in robotics. The aim of the day camp is to introduce basic technology and engineering concepts to children between the ages of 9 to 12. For more information click here.

STEM Teacher Training Project

CSF believes that STEM teacher training is the first and single most important step in changing the culture and attitude towards STEM in the Region. This program will be carried out as a summer-school program in collaboration with the Caribbean Academy of Sciences and the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).

CaribVenture

CaribVenture is a partnership between the CSF, CADSTI and well-known technology investors, executives and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. Through CaribVenture, the CSF intends to help foster an entrepreneurial culture in the Caribbean and facilitate the launch and growth of technology-based start-up Caribbean businesses. See more.

CSF Regional Operations

Regional outreach is carried out principally by the CSF Country Representatives. CSF Reps are appointed in almost every Caribbean territory. These Reps report on the science, technology and innovation initiatives in their country to the CSF Board on a periodic basis as well as work closely with CSF headquarters to assist with achieving the goals of the CSF. CADSTI Branch Operations

CADSTI branches are groups of science, engineering and business experts and professionals in the Diaspora who are interested in giving back by promoting STEM education and technology-based entrepreneurship in the Region. CADSTI has its headquarters in the Boston area, with active branches in the UK, New England, the US Southeast, Canada and Silicon Valley. Funds are needed specifically for the setup of CADSTI Branches and the recruitment of volunteers to run the Branches.

Administrative Support within CSF Headquarters

The work of the CSF is impeded by a shortage of full-time staff. Donation Refund Policy
If you have made an error in making your donation or you have changed your mind about contributing to CADSTI or the CSF, we will honor your request for a refund that is made within 15 days of the donation. To request a refund, please send an email to cadstihdq@gmail.com. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.Donors have the option to give recurring donations. CADSTI-CSF will be able to refund the previous months donations only. To change or stop your monthly recurring giving, please call us at 1-617-699-1281.

In the case where an error has been made by CADSTI or a banking facility which results in an overpayment being made, CADSTI may in consultation with the donor refund the overpayment via the donor’s credit card or by check. Checks will be sent within 30 days to the address on file for the donor.

Privacy Statement
Your privacy is important to us. CADSTI and the CSF do not share the information of its customers, clients or sponsors with others. E-mail addresses and mailing addresses are never rented, sold or traded to third parties. CADSTI and the CSF will share customer information with government agencies if required by law.

Once you make a donation or purchase to CADSTI or the CSF, your name, shipping/mailing address, telephone number, email address and fax number will be included in our customer file. This information may also be used for other purposes as outlined below:

Postal Address: CADSTI and the CSF may use your mailing address to keep you updated on our activities. You may elect to opt out of the use of your mailing address by sending an e-mail to cadstihdq@gmail.com with the words “OPT OUT SNAIL MAIL” in the subject line.

Email Address: CADSTI and the CSF may use your e-mail address to communicate information of interest to you about CADSTI and the CSF and its activities. You may elect to opt out by sending an e-mail to cadsti.events@gmail.com with the words “OPT OUT E-MAIL” in the subject line. In some cases, we may send e-mails to you via an authorized agent working for CADSTI and the CSF. All authorized agents operate with a confidentiality agreement.
