Program Dates: Saturday July 6 – Sunday August 11, 2024 (in-person at the UWI-Cave Hill in Barbados)

FOR STUDENTS
2 Minute Video Overview of SPISE:
To be eligible to apply to SPISE, students must be:
(1) At least age 16 but less than age 18 on April 1, 2024
AND
(2) Citizens or permanent residents of the English-speaking Caribbean (excluding U.S. territories) or Bermuda, and have been enrolled in a high school within the Caribbean or Bermuda for the past 4 years. (Note: applicants from the Dutch, French and Spanish-speaking Caribbean countries may be considered on a case-by-case basis.)

Students applying to the program will need to:
- Fill out the online application form and provide all of the supporting materials requested (within the application form) by email to applications.csf@gmail.com.
- Request 2 letters of recommendation, using the document that can be accessed within the application form, from: (a) a current or recent (within last 2 years) Math Teacher, and (b) a current or recent (within last 2 years) Science Teacher. These letters of recommendation need to be emailed directly to applications.csf@gmail.com by the recommender.
FOR TEACHING ASSISTANTS
The application period for SPISE 2024 Teaching Assistants (TAs) is open!
TAs are expected to be familiar with the details of the program, and, therefore, before applying, should review the webpage SPISE Overview, and read “What SPISE Teaching Assistants should know” (at the end of the application form).
